The need for local health science careers has never been greater. The Blue Ridge Partnership for Health Science Careers organizational model provides a forum in which diverse stakeholders work together to identify opportunities, solve practical problems, break down silos, reduce duplication and improve outcomes.
The lifecycle of a partnership organization typically includes three simple stages of growth: start, build and scale.
Start: Thanks to a convening entity and common recognition of workforce challenges, representatives across organizations come together to find regional solutions.
Build: The team formalizes its collective mission, goals, and meeting cadence and gathers data to support and communicate its strategic priorities.
Scale: The formalized partnership matures its mechanisms to track and report on data, build business case/value prop to launch programs or other initiatives, seeks relevant grants, and reports on outcomes at the state level.
