To support the workforce required for the growing healthcare and health sciences ecosystem in the Rappahannock Region—including the Fredericksburg area, Northern Neck, and Middle Peninsula—leading healthcare employers, educators, and workforce partners came together to form a collaborative, regional approach to health sciences education and workforce development.
Through ongoing meetings and regional engagement, the group has embraced a partnership model that leverages existing resources while aligning education and training with the real-time needs of healthcare employers.
The increasing demand for qualified healthcare professionals, coupled with projected industry growth, underscores the urgency for public institutions and private employers to work collaboratively and act quickly to strengthen the talent pipeline.
The Rappahannock Region Healthcare Collaborative is committed to helping students and jobseekers earn credentials for high-demand healthcare careers while building a sustainable, skilled workforce to meet both current and future employer needs.
At the same time, the Collaborative works to elevate, align, and streamline education and training opportunities across the region. This coordinated approach fosters innovation, supports economic growth, and enhances the region’s ability to attract and retain healthcare providers and related industries.
We are always looking to expand our network of partners. Interested in getting involved as an employer or community partner? We welcome the opportunity to connect.

United, we can make a difference!
