For high school students interested in exploring courses that prepare them for a career in healthcare, BRPHSC created a core curriculum that lays a strong foundation for a future in health and life sciences. Taking courses within the core curriculum allows students to gain valuable knowledge in areas of interest and gets students career-ready earlier. These courses provide credit, offering students the ability to get ahead in their career preparation goals without needing to repeat introductory courses in post-secondary education.

Core curriculum for high school students

Speak with your school counselor about taking courses to start your healthcare career journey.

Note: The core curriculum courses listed have been approved by K-University level representatives as offerings that can be delivered across all school districts. Students must take Math and Anatomy & Physiology but these courses are shown as electives because they are not available in all school districts. Please check with your local school counselor to confirm whether these courses are available.
